Johari Designs

Johari Designs is a Social Enterprise run by Johari Foundation, Kenya. It was established to help train and offer employment to vulnerable young adults. The Johari Apprenticeship Programme delivers an 18 month curriculum in tailoring, material sourcing and jewellery-making techniques. The skills, knowledge and confridence gained by the students helps them to build a more secure future for themselves and their families. On-going employment can lead to better economic opportunities and economic growth.

The Artesyns at Johari Designs produce a wonderful range of hand-crafted and ethically made clothing, jewellery and accessories. 100% of all profits are fed back into the Miale Social Development Programmes. This helps to support the programmes and over time these programmes will become fully funded from Johari Designs profits and so self sustaining within the community.
