Fundraising can take any shape or form, from small 'Bake Sales' in the office to large scale events at amazing venues. Giffnock Soccer Centre supports Johari Foundation

In September 2011 children from Giffnock Soccer Centre took part in the Great Scottish Run to raise money for children's charities including Johari Foundation. The children raised a fantastic amount and were able to donate £1,000 to help the children on our Miale Programmes.Click here to read more about it.Giffnock Soccer Centre have also very generously donated football strips for use at the Kids Joy Sports Development Programme.

Joanna's Fundraising Party

Joanna Collins hosted a fundraising party in aid of Johari Foundation's Miale Programmes. She visited some of the programmes during a visit to Nairobi and to raise awareness and support for the programmes invited family and friends to a party charging £10 per ticket. She held a raffle and silent auction too. The event raised a fantastic £1,500. This funding will support children with their educational, social and basic needs.

Barry's race to support Johari Foundation

Barry Neilson raised £452 for Johari Foundation from sponsorship after he participated in the BUPA Great North Run in September. Barry only started training a couple of months before the race, but pulled out the stops to get fit and also contact family, friends and colleagues to raise awareness and funds for the Foundation. Barry is delighted with the amount that he raised through this event.

Golf Day - Charity Fundraiser

Mike Allan of Sumerian recently organised a golf event at Archerfield Links in East Lothian. He asked all those attending to support Johari Foundation by donating £20 each and he managed to raise £360. The Johari team are delighted with this amount and are glad that all involved in the day enjoyed themselves whilst helping to raise funds for the children on the Miale programmes in Kenya.

World Cup Sweepstake

To get everyone at Sumerian in the mood for the World Cup, Nick Maher organised an office sweepstake. 32 people took part, each paying £5 for the privelidge. Half of the money was put in to the prize pot with the other half being donated to help the children on the Miale Programmes. Nick did a great job in co-ordinating this.

Glasgow Caledonian University Retailing students Charity Fundraiser

Around 25 students took part in a Retail Project as part of the Retail Marketing course at Glasgow Caledonian University. They were tasked with promoting and selling a number of brands over a period of 14 days at the Saltire Centre. Johari products were on sale throughout the event. The students did a fantastic job in promoting and selling all the brands and as a result were able to give Johari Foundation a cheque from the money they raised during the project.

Charity Challenge and Old School Sports Day, Edinburgh

Carron Rand and Kristen Reed of Biggart Baillie along with Edinburgh Young Professionals have organised a sports day to raise funds for the Miale Programmes. Teams of between 6 and 15 people will compete in a round robin rounders tournament with some classis school sports day races. For more details on the event and to enter a team please click here
